For this reason, I was able to travel far and wide and get to know many different locations. The villages have a charm of their own and are effectively the symbol of this region, set in a natural landscape that appeals to everyone, Italians and foreigners. In the wedding sector, they represent a real trend<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Why choose a village to get married in? <\/strong>First of all for the atmosphere it evokes, decidedly romantic and very intimate. Cobbled lanes, small squares, millenary walls, towers and even castles will be the right ingredients to crown your dream of love.<\/p>\n

But it doesn't end there. Just outside the Tuscan villages, we find an amazing and perfect nature for couple shots. An example? Depending on the season, fields of poppies or sunflowers, rows of tall cypresses, golden expanses of wheat, vineyards and olive trees as far as the eye can see.<\/p>\n

As for the facilities for the ceremony, I have to say that there is a lot of choice. The Tuscan villages offer various possibilities such as farmhouses, country houses, <\/strong>villas<\/strong><\/a> and historic homes<\/strong>. In some cases, there is even talk of villages used precisely for wedding receptions, exclusive and equipped with various comforts and services all concentrated in one place.<\/p>\n

A few kilometers from Florence, in the heart of the Valdelsa, we find the medieval village of Certaldo, one of the best preserved in the whole region. Even today everything seems unchanged: the Palazzo Pretorio, the many towers, the walls, the entrance doors and the typical red terracotta that floods buildings and narrow streets.<\/p>\n

The town, which gave birth to Boccaccio, has obtained the Orange Flag from the Italian Touring Club<\/strong>. The civil ceremony can be celebrated in the majestic Palazzo Pretorio or in the deconsecrated church of SS. Thomas and Prospero. For the religious one, we recommend the church of SS. Jacopo and Filippo with 14th century frescoes and Della Robbia terracottas.<\/p>\n

Bolgheri (Livorno)<\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\n

From one poet to another, we come to Giosu\u00e8 Carducci who paid homage to Bolgheri in his poem "In front of San Guido", extolling the avenue of cypresses that goes up and accompanies up to the gates of the village, his postcard par excellence.<\/p>\n

Cobbled streets enriched with colorful flowers lead to the medieval castle with its crenellated tower and to the numerous small taverns and wine bars that showcase the gastronomic soul of the territories<\/p>\n

The surroundings of Bolgheri are full of noteworthy natural corners, among which soft hills covered by vineyards, backdrops perfect for a shabby wedding photo shoot<\/strong> or natural-chic. In this area, along the Bolgherese road that connects Bolgheri to Castagneto Carducci, there is a very romantic little white church.<\/p>\n

A stone's throw from Bolgheri, I must also mention Castagneto Carducci, one of the most visited villages on the Etruscan Coast, full of cultural events in the summer. It wins over everything its location on top of a hill <\/strong>and the possibility on clear days of an incredible panorama that includes Elba Island, Capraia, Corsica, Gorgona and even touches the C\u00f4te d'Azur.<\/p>\n

Non mancano come sempre stretti vicoli, edifici in pietra e il palazzo comunale. Per il rito religioso, senza dubbio la Chiesa di San Lorenzo o del S.S. Crocifisso. Per la cerimonia romantica, quasi da principesse, c\u2019\u00e8 il Castello di Castagneto, all\u2019interno dell\u2019omonima tenuta.<\/p>\n

Querceto (Montecatini Val di Cecina)<\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\n

It is not among the most famous Tuscan villages where to get married perhaps, but for me it is certainly among the most scenic. Querceto is a very small village, part of Montecatini Val di Cecina, entirely immersed in the greenery of the Mediterranean scrub. Maybe that's what makes it so unique and visually interesting.<\/p>\n

Here you will find the most intimate atmosphere ever and a pleasant silence. My favorite corner? The carpet of ivy that covers part of the castle of Villa Ginori Lisci<\/strong>, better if in autumn\/winter when it lights up with all shades of red.<\/p>\n

If you dream of a fairytale ceremony, you can opt for the religious rite in the church of San Giovanni Battista and then the reception (or even the civil ceremony) in the Querceto estate, property of the historic Marchesi Ginori Lisci family (those of the porcelain manufacturer) , which has 2000 hectares of woods and 700 of vineyards.<\/p>\n

If I had to recommend a Tuscan village for a fairytale wedding in the truest sense of the word, it would certainly be Castelfalfi. This must be why it is highly appreciated by many foreigners who come here to enjoy the summer and also celebrate their wedding. There is everything you need: the castle, a church and brick houses.<\/p>\n

The millenary history of this village is particular. After an inauspicious period that saw the town depopulate, a tour operator arrived in 2007 with an impressive development project that included the medieval castle, various buildings and the entire natural section.<\/p>\n

In aggiunta, troviamo anche una tenuta che prende il nome di Toscana Resort Castelfalfi, una location super esclusiva con resort 5 stelle e un ristorante gourmet, La Rocca, gestito dallo chef Michele Rinaldi, allievo del celebre Gualtiero Marchesi.<\/p>\n

Let's move to the Pisan hills, a stone's throw from the village of Buti, known for the tradition of the palio (in chronological order the first in Tuscany) and for an oil renowned among the best extra virgin olive oils, loved even by the poet D'Annunzio.<\/p>\n

Engulfed in the emerald greenery of a 5,000-hectare park, there is theancient village Valle di Badi<\/strong>a, now renovated and transformed into a 5-star location for truly royal weddings. You may have heard of it for the ceremony of Damiano Carrara, famous chef of Bake Off, with his wife Chiara Maggenti.<\/p>\n

As their website announces, \u201can entire village at your disposal\u201d. I must say that there is a perfect balance between past and present and that the memory of life in the village in the 1700s is still present, just mention the ancient granaries overlooking the swimming pool.<\/p>\n

The icing on the cake is the presence of a tiny and delightful private church for religious rites<\/strong>. Precisely in 2022, Valle di Badia was awarded at the Italian Wedding Awards as the best Italian structure in the wedding sector.<\/p>\n

Each village thus has a place available: the Belvedere terrace in Castelmuzio, the terrace of Palazzo Brandano in Petroio, the Molino a Vento park in Trequanda. All with a breathtaking panorama that extends to the Val d'Orcia and the Crete Senesi.
